I started to watch DWTS because i was kind of curious how the “shake it up girl” would do. I was familiar with the dance numbers form the show, but this was a complete different thing

Anyways, i remember that contemporary dance number and oh goodness, i had no idea she was actually THAT good. I was quite impressed, that and the following times, so ‘ve been rooting for Val and Zendaya since then…not because she was a familiar face, but because she totally has it. I can’t wait to see tonights performance, (I’ll need to epically run to get home in time) its going to be a tough one since everyone is ridiculously good.

As for the art…bleh, lack of resemblance. I spent all my morning trying to fix that, but im a little rusty, and also still a bazillion of years away to be able to draw people properly…so i was unsuccessful. Ops, Val is missing, i struggled too much with just this, (in time + effort) so nope nope, could’t draw someone else. Sorry Val!

Im pretty sure that’s their normal build. Being skinny is nothing bad. At all. Its just a problem when you put your health in risk to be thin. Criticizing someone because he/she is thin can be as wrong as doing the same thing to someone who is overweight.

There are young acresses such as Debby Ryan, Raini Rodriguez or Caroline Sunshine who are not skinny, and still look how great they look. But that doesn’t mean skinny ones like Zendaya or Bella Thorne look less great, or that they could be less of a role model to girls.

Disney…again??

It was brought to my attention that there was an incident wit a “Jessie” episode, that had a plot involving a boy with “Celiac disease” (gluten intolerace) in their most recent episode; ‘Quitting Cold Koala’ . Wow, did you people even learned the lesson the first time??

As many know, there was a huge mess because of this joke in “SIU” where a model made a joke related to a food disorder…and Demi Lovato made sure it was clear how wrong that was.

I think sometimes writers for these shows forget how carefully they need to think things through. Issues like this can go unnoticed in average shows, but of course its a BIG DEAL when its in show directed to kids.

Kids pay more attention that what we would think. How can they expect things like adult subjects hints, bullying, or stereotype related jokes not to blow in their faces.

US particularly has this thing for making steretypes out of other countries/cultures. For example, as someone from Mexico, i sometimes facepalm when i see how we are depicted in the media. I can assure you you we are not people who ride donkeys wearing sombreros while eating tacos. While im not particularly annoyed by things like this, people feel sometimes offended when certain elements of their culture/nationality are being “mocked”, even when its not with bad intention.

I remember when a girl complained of an A&A episode, saying how offensive she found that Lester was speaking “Korean” ( apparently he said some random nonsense, just with a accent) I didnt even noticed it was fake korean, but for this girl it was a big deal!!

Being a children friendly newtwork, they must be extra careful when they decide how is going to be their approach when they refer say something about cultures, races, diseases or some toher delicate subjects.writers must learn to see what they create form the point of view of the audience. What they mean its not all the time what the public understands. Im quite sure they mean no harm when they make certain jokes, but that doesn’t mean everyone will laugh with them…and a few gags are not worthy making someone feel bad.

I love this shows, i really do, but i would really reccomend the network to double, and triple check the content, to make sure its 100% children friendly, so they can enjoy them as muchas i do.

I arrive home, and i found out that “SMASH” has been officially cancelled. We slaved our butts and fingers in the “Save one show” competition, and NBC gives us…nothing?? If they dont at least relase “Bombshell” AND “Hitlist” i curse them to have to lame sitcoms and boring dramas for the eternity. Its what we deserve AT LEAST

What bothers me the most…is how incredible this show was: The songs were terrificly amazing. Leading ladies had the vest voices ever, each one in her own unique way…and the rest of the cast was breath taking as well. But none knew how to hadle it. Everyone tried to pull it in a different directions, so it started losing consistence, slowly sinking after each episode. Theresa Rebeck at least knew what she was doing…Safran tried to force his vision of characters already existed, which made them act off every now and then.

So the show itself had a superb potential, so screw you NBC. Goodbye Smash, you will be terribly missed.
